While leaving a feedback on an item I purchased, I noticed a new feedback system in place. Luckily, I took a screenshot image of it, because it seems to be gone now. It only happened for me on 1 item, and the stars weren’t working (I couldn’t fill-in the stars). Here is the image below, I’m not sure when they’ll put it in place permanently. John Donahoe is legitimately an idiot for what he has done to eBay…and I’m talking about as a whole, not just the “My Ebay” pages, which are what annoys me most at this minute. Thanks to the garbage new pages, I just left positive feedback for someone who has yet to pay for an item. I also had their item packaged up and put into another customers shipment, because the “Items I Sold” page is a piece of crap that runs together. Is it my fault for making this mistake? Sure it is, but it wouldn’t have happened if the idiots who are running eBay were more in touch with their customers (buyers AND sellers) and would quit changing what doesn’t need to be changed.
John Donahoe should really know that he is a miserable failure with his current company. Every idea he has implemented, from buyers not allowed to leave NEG feedback, to the new design of the website, have been some of the worst ideas known to the modern world and are all contributors to what will be the demise of his company.

Selling on eBay
Wow, this seems really stupid to me. Here is the link to the full article with all the details. I can’t believe they are going to take away a sellers ability to leave negative or neutral feedback.
Basically, here is the short version (copied & pasted from the eBay page):
What changes are being made to the eBay Feedback system?
There are five key elements to the new Feedback system being introduced in the first half of 2008:
- Beginning in February, buyers and sellers will be able to earn up to one Feedback per week from the same trading partner. Today, members may only affect each other’s Feedback scores one time, regardless of the number of transactions between the parties. This change will both encourage repeat transactions and reward good service.
- Sellers will no longer be able to leave negative or neutral Feedback for buyers. This change will occur in May, 2008.
- Removal of negative and neutral Feedback left by members who are suspended or who fail to respond to the Unpaid Item Process (UPI).
- Positive Feedback percentage will be based on the past 12 months of Feedback, rather than lifetime, since it is most indicative of the seller’s recent performance.
- Restrictions on when Feedback can be left:
- Buyers must wait three days before leaving negative or neutral Feedback
- Instead of 90 days, members will be able to leave Feedback for 60 days
